Drive-by blogging…
By Rusty Shackleford | May 5, 2009
I’m sure you’re familiar with Limbaugh’s term for the mainstream/traditional media- “drive-by media”: Let’s throw out baseless accusations and see what sticks!!
Originally posted here then re-posted over here, a MT blogger makes completely unfounded accusations of death threats resulting from the vote on HR3.
Democrats are receiving nasty emails and death threats for their “no” vote.
….
The death threats? Two days of them, now, and still {crickets} from the Republicans.
Even conservative bloggers have been silent.
WTF?! How can someone respond to something that nobody is aware of? Talk about not giving a shit about facts, well played. Like we all learned back in school…it’s always necessary to cite your source, so long as you want to maintain credibility.
I wouldn’t go so far as to call the author of this a liar…politically motivated maybe?
I understand full well why the accusations were made…just trying to ride the wave of hysteria created by DHS’s report on “right-wing extremism”. Couple this with the success of the April 15th Tax Day Tea Parties and you have the perfect combo for Lefty-freak out: ZOMG REPUBLICANS ARE CRAZYYYYY!!!11!.
I’m still waiting for a credible news source to pick up on this story…you know, as in presenting actual facts. Odds are that I’ll be waiting a while.
Remember folks: Always question people’s motivations. And always cite your source…a little bit of knowledge, sometimes, can be a very lethal thing.
That is all.
