This is what happens when you’re beholden to the Government…
By Rusty Shackleford | June 19, 2009
The story about the city of Bozeman requiring applicants to relinquish “usernames and passwords for their social-networking sites” showed up on Drudge. Awesome.
The freak-out regarding this is really amusing to me. Those who believe in limited government, have every right to call out the city of Bozeman for invasion of privacy, but the moaning from the Left is ironic. The city of Bozeman’s demand is simply a results of liberal policies.
Since the election of their Messiah, the Left’s mantra has been: “but, you’ll benefit from his policies!!1!” But those on the Left just can’t seem to wrap their brains around the true cost of Government benevolence. It’s like your parents paying the cellphone bill, then having the right to decide who you call and for how long. Even if you give them money towards the bill, freedom and privacy are lost.
You want a government job, then you’ll do exactly as the government says. You want government health insurance, then you’ll do exactly as the government says. You want a government backed loan, then you’ll do exactly as the government says.
For those who worship at the altar of “Single-payer Healthcare”, you’ve been warned…this same intrusiveness will occur. Sure, some will have free shit at the expense of others, but then everyone, and their information, will be completely under the thumb of the Federal Government.
That is all.
