2009-1952=FAIL

At the time of his death, Ted Kennedy had been in the U.S. Senate for exactly 46 years, 9 months, 19 days; making him the 4th longest serving Senator in our history.
Prior to Teddy, the seat had been held by John F. Kennedy from 1953 to 1960 and Benjamin A. Smith II from 1960 to 1962. Ted, or the “awesome swimmer” as I like to call him, then began his 46 year reign in the Senate. Doing a little quick math, one finds that the Democrats have held that seat for nearly 6 decades. Now the seat belongs to the GOP…boy, that sure is some change [/boisterous fake laugh].
But fear not, true believers! It matters not! Obama and the Dems will be fine, Wulfy says so:
This election will not kill Obama. It means absolutely jack-squat to the 2010 midterms, it is not a referendum on Democrats, and it won’t have any effect whatsoever on Health Care Reform.
I can see his point, the seat was only held for SIX DECADES by the Democrats. Nothing to see here folks! Move along!
