A secret administration memo has surfaced revealing plans for the federal government to seize more than 10 million acres from Montana to New Mexico, halting job- creating activities like ranching, forestry, mining and energy development. Worse, this land grab would dry up tax revenue that’s essential for funding schools, firehouses and community centers.

President Obama could enact the plans in this memo with just the stroke of a pen, without any input from the communities affected by it.

Administration officials claim the document is merely the product of a brainstorming session, but anyone who reads this memo can see that it is a wish list for the environmentalist left. It discusses, in detail, what kinds of animal populations would benefit from limiting human activity in those areas.

The 21-page document, marked “Internal Draft-NOT FOR RELEASE,” names 14 different lands Mr. Obama could completely close for development by unilaterally designating them as “monuments” under the 1906 Antiquities Act.

It says all kinds of animals would be better off by doing so, like the coyotes, badgers, grouse, chickens and lizards. But giving the chickens more room to roost is no reason for the government to override states’ rights.

Prior to Teddy, the seat had been held by John F. Kennedy from 1953 to 1960 and Benjamin A. Smith II from 1960 to 1962.  Ted, or the “awesome swimmer” as I like to call him, then began his 46 year reign in the Senate.  Doing a little quick math, one finds that the Democrats have held that seat for nearly 6 decades.  Now the seat belongs to the GOP…boy, that sure is some change [/boisterous fake laugh].

But fear not, true believers!  It matters not!  Obama and the Dems will be fine, Wulfy says so:

This election will not kill Obama.  It means absolutely jack-squat to the 2010 midterms, it is not a referendum on Democrats, and it won’t have any effect whatsoever on Health Care Reform.

Former House Speaker Newt Gingrich said he likes what he sees in Gov. Brian Schweitzer’s handling of state finances, and is enlisting his help in a good government project.

The conservative Republican called Schweitzer Thursday morning and invited him to help with the American Solutions for Winning the Future project, which is looking for governing ideas for the economy, education, energy and budget issues.

“We’ve tried to reach out in a very bipartisan way because the issues are more important than either party,” Gingrich said.

Schweitzer, after the call, said it seems to make sense.

“If you’re not able to share ideas, I don’t know how you will come to some common ground,” said.
